The lunar archive

A museum for the Moon.

BitBasel Space curates artworks and cultural artifacts for preservation beyond Earth, with Nanofiche and the Galactic Library Preserve Humanity (GLPH) initiative.

The works are etched onto nickel disks with Nanofiche, an analog medium read with only light and a microscope. No power, no software, no file format to go out of date.

The next lunar archive is planned for the Voyager Griffin-1 mission, currently targeting January 2027, part of NASA's Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) initiative.
